Why won't 3dmark 2001 run in win2k?

I just recently moved to win2k and installed the latest drivers for everything. For my video card im using the 11.01's. I installed service pack 1 and did the critical update. DX8 is also installed. When I run 3dmark2001 is says that I need to downgrade my display stuff. Im not sure exactly what it says because im not on my rig. please help me out.

Your video card memory is highly overclocked. Take the core/mem down to default and try to run it.

When I put everything down to default it still gave me that message.

do you mean the benchmark or the demo? In demo, it will say that, don't worry.

The benchmark...it ran fine when I was on 98. I got like 2670 or somewhere around there.
