The thing to remember is that most of the Democratic platform is very popular. All that stuff you just quoted is mostly lies told by the right. Very few Democratic candidates, and basically none of the ones running for President, supports any of those things. The closet thing to what you said is the free healthcare, there is a strong movement for a single payer system. But that is not just a open door policy, it will be regulated.
The problem for the Democrats is not creating a popular platform, they already have that, it is getting people believe their platform over the fake platform that Republicans are saying the Democrats support.
