All I am saying is that give the guy a break. It has been made clear to him that he should respect other posters. It was said that he should not title his thread a "Guide". At least not without the permission of the mods.

So, if he does respect the posters, are we going to give him a chance now to state his opinion?
If he respects everyone and yet someone thread ****s, are we going to ask that person to stop it?

Respectfully

Despite your assertions about what has been made clear to Perry404, I have seen nothing from him that indicates in any way that he understands. His last post "if I have benchmarks, as some have so rudely exclaimed all along, then this resolves the issue and I will be able to create the thread as I originally intended. Correct? " would argue that he still doesn't get it. Even if he does, I don't know how well his threads will be received in there. He started out insulting nearly everyone who posted and the populace of AnandTech Forums in general. They may not be so willing to forgive and forget.

I think I covered that here:

Just read through it.
IMHO, the OP got it locked because of his antagonistic attitude.

Right. I didn't sucker up to the bait so i was antagonistic.
Please do read through it.

It's retorts like these that he's talking about.

Was I bad again? Are you going to lock this thread to?
This is sillyness x 10.
I can question whether the closing of a thread that I took time to work on was justified.

Why is it I have this strong urge to tap on your forehead and see if anyone is home?

question though.

if someone post a helpfull thread that some don't like sot hey flame everyone and get it locked. can we restart the thread?

will good post (not saying perry's was good. would have been great with benmarks or proof) be locked and not brought up if someone decideds to be an asshole?

Thats a fair question. In this case its the OP whos being the problem, if other users had derailed the thread it would be much easier to allow the thread and deal with them. The subject isn't verboten, if you created an OS thread with the same theme it would be fine. That make sense?
