Why was the thread featuring the bomb diffusal gone wrong locked?

I've seen multiple thread featuring Iraqis and Afghanis being shot to pieces by US Forces and they've never been locked, even when the comments within the thread were off colour.

Please explain.


We had numerous complaints regarding the link posted in that thread as being to graphic.
