Why was my thread locked?

I asked some basic questions and got some confusing answers about Christian Bale and Obama, then a lock. :\

Am I missing something here? I did a search going back 6 months I believe for anything with Red Dawn in the topic, and the only post that came up was the one about the original being on TV last night.

So in summary, there was no fighting/trolling, my questions weren't answered (in fact I'm even more confused now) and then the thread was locked.

I didn't receive any warning or explanation via PM so I'm at a loss. What am I to assume from this, that we can't discuss movies that haven't been released yet, or simply that we can't ask questions about movies that haven't been released yet?

P.S. Even more odd, the last post was by a forum administrator. It was a normal reply and gave no indication that there was anything wrong with the thread. Now I'm even more confused.

I wonder why you left out your comments about gun owners and the NRA in your questions here. Oh wait. No I don't.

I'm guessing that's pretty much what did it. Acting all innocent doesn't work when your own post has the words in it. (Now whether that was actually WORTHY of a lock perhaps is what you should be asking in your post here, rather than trying to play the "I have no idea why it got locked" card).
 
Thanks GA, glad I'm not alone.

I'm wondering if it could be because I was curious as to why there were no well known actors in it, and a virgin director, and stated that I thought it may be because nobody with an actual reputation wanted to be associated with this movie due to some gun, NRA, etc., influences. It IS ODD that the original had some of the biggest actors in the world at the time, and this has not a single name in the cast that I recognize.

If that is the reason, then I'm at a loss for words. I mean if somebody thinks that my idea is stupid then say something. I don't mind. But to lock the thread before a single one of my questions was answered because they disagree that my idea is a possibility... 😱

Look at my posting history. When do I ever get involved in threads like that? I'll tell you when, NEVER.

Again, that was what I thought to be a POSSIBLE REASON to why the movie had no big name actors in it. I never said I was pro-gun, anti-gun, or anything in between, and my posting history will say the same.

The whole gun owners jizzing overing the movie is a joke, and rather obvious, as the whole movie backs up the entire reason gun owners feel they have the right to own guns.
 
I just noticed Dr. Pizza's "trolling" accusation. I've responded to that above without even knowing I was being accused of trolling.

As far as resurrecting a July 09 thread... 🙄
 
The only questions you asked were "Anyone have any more info on this one" and "Anyone know any of the actors?" The answers seem to be no and no. If you were not trolling and you still really, really want to know then you can ask them in the original thread which is on the front page of OT.
