Except this is the SAME LIFE. This is more akin to a cop arresting you and telling you not to go into that store you robbed anymore, then getting pissed off when they arrest you for trying to rob it again.

I think more to the point, he was banned, not suspended. And not banned from the internet (at least I assume so). If he wants a new life there are endless opportunities elsewhere, where, if he understands that getting banned is bad, he might behave differently.
