OP, if you don't believe in good and evil, what is the point in asking why people view Gadaffi as evil?
He wanted an excuse to give us his super 3DgY opinions on the nature of morality.

The question doesn't me? What the fuck does that mean?

That all moral judgments/opinions hold equal weight.
I'm just curious why certain people were for going after him, when the same people were against going after Saddam. There were a lot of similarities between the two, after all (killing and oppressing his own people).
By the way, good and evil are not truly relative. You're only fooling yourself if you believe such.
Because in this case there was a popular revolution. We didn't topple Ghadafi's regime.
It's also useless on his part to ask a question when it is believed in advance that there cannot be a satisfactory answer.
True. The media thinks we are all dumb though. Hell the BBC even aired footage of fake celebrations in Green Square [Libya], the crowds are waving the flags of INDIA though! Yep, the BBC and other media never did show us celebrations in Libya. They instead used footage from India or other locations instead.
Im sure the real picture in Libya is one of Rebels dominating the scene, families are scared to death of being killed for being "pro-Gaddafi", and rape is common.

Google BBC Indian flags Libya, the video is viral.
Despite what the idiot journalists in the press say, why was Gaddafi "evil"? Who or what defines it? Isn't it an undefinable term?
So he "oppressed" his people, big deal. Since when are Arab values liberal values?
No, it's not. The man was evil.
I won this very argument once against a person who claimed the same thing you do. I beat him about with a bat until he claimed what I was doing was wrong.
If all moral judgments and opinions hold equal weight then the weight they hold is zero which means, of course, that your opinion is totally worthless. Why have you come to announce that your opinion is worthless?
How do you feel? Are you sad that the world holds no meaning, that good and evil are all the same, that children who die or are murdered are dead forever and ever? Are you crushed by the reality of what you see, that the universe has no meaning, no purpose and ends in oblivion? Are you asking for a way out of this dilemma, because if you are I can help. I died at the end of that rope and found myself. I know a way out. I defeated The Nothing.
I think that he is amoral. It would be hard to say anything useful about something which is meaningless, yes?
It's also useless on his part to ask a question when it is believed in advance that there cannot be a satisfactory answer.
Feel what? Anything is acceptable in life. I also don't care much about children, so who cares what happens to them? I'm not sad at ll, since everything is subjective in life.
This line of thinking is old, boring, and probably belongs in a college dorm room at 2AM. We get it, morality is subjective. Try not to cut yourself on that 3DG3.
Anything is acceptable in life.
Thanks for that info, I hadn't heard that yet. That is unbelievable, yet I am not surprised in the least.
The truth of the matter is that the Libyan people absolutely loved Gaddafi, and he was well respected by many African leaders.
What line of thinking? It depends, morality doesn't really exist.
Of course it does.
Morality is defined as a set of principles that define right and wrong behavior. We can decide to make those principles whatever we want, and so the only requirement for morality to exist is for someone to decide to make it exist. This was the original answer to your question, btw. Since we create the requisites for what constitutes evil to ourselves, he was 'evil' because we decided he was evil.
Like I said, this is sophomore-in-college type conversation. The idea that morality is subjective is not new, nor is it particularly edgy.
Good - while we are ignoring the many generally agreed on terms of what is right and wrong please let us know where you live so we can repeatedly steal everything you own
No, morality is non-existent, since there are no rules in life.
lol... nonsense. there is no need for rules in life. Only babies need rules, alpha dogs don't.
