Honestly I like how this new car looks, but I cannot understand the name. I would've preferred F70, as that is in keeping with tradition.

Does "LaFerrari" have any significance in Italian? Because it envokes images of Pontiac Fieros with body kits.

It's so nice, they named it twice.

I don't care for it, but I'd put up with it.

Well put. I thought "Ferrari Enzo Ferrari" was a dumb name, but LaFerrari is ten times dumber. Still, the car seems absolutely insane in all material respects, so how upset can I be about the name?

The Enzo was much like the Dino.
LaFerrari is also pretty comprehensible. You just omit the brand, as it's already in the name.
That's why it's called that way, because the car is supposed to become eponymous for the brand.

The name is better than MP4-12C, at the very least.

Supposedly it makes more sense in Italian. ?? some how "TheFerrari" means something more than just "The Ferrari" when said in a different language. Thats the explanation I heard.

as an italian the vibe I get from the car and what the Italian journalists have spewed is they are going for a quintessential vibe on the car. They want it to be THEferrari in loose translation.
