Why the heck does my Cruzer Micro usually run at 1 MB/sec or less

Using my front USB2 ports.

I am positive they are USB2 ports, and they are plugged into a USB2 header on my Epox 9NPA+ motherboard.

What could be wrong? What speeds should I expect? Are there special USB drivers that need to be installed besides the regular nForce unified drivers?

i have a cruzer micro 512mb. I think its read speed is like 10mb/sec but its write speed is 1.5mb/sec.

i have read reviews saying cruzer micro is slow at writing compare to like cruzer micro titanium. I dont really mind its way better than floppy and i can save my gt4 pictures from my ps2 to my pc 🙂

I also have the Micro 512. And yes, write speeds are often around 1.5 MB/sec, sometimes less. Is this correct? Why is it even called USB2 then, sheesh.

I noticed with a lot of PC's esp Antec cases, they don't supply enough power over the cables to even use a cruzer micro on the front usb ports. I have to use the back ones for mine and my dad's.
