I'm watching Wing Nuts on the Discovery Channel. The "narrator" just pronounced "WW2" as "double-yew double-yew two." Why in the crap would anyone say seven syllables to describe something that could just as easily and less cryptically say three syllables? World War Two. Double-yew double-yew two.

:(

More importantly, why do I care?

Subliminal messages people...
Who do we call W...???
Two hints...
White...
House...
...
Two terms...
Two Bushes...
WW2...
They just do that so they can brainwash everybody...
Or at least dumb down the smart people who actually watch shows like that...
By the way...
Go Bush...

For all intents and purposes, "World" is two syllables. It may not be technically so, but verbally is is.

neither do I, and I've never heard world sounding like it has 2 syllables, I can't even imagine an accent giving it a second syllable.
