British forces march on Washington. At a brief battle on the road, known as the Battle of Bladensburg; the British forces defeat the American forces, who withdraw in disarray, thus opening the road to Washington. The British burn the White House and the Capitol, but the rest of Washington is saved by a strong rain storm. The British, under orders not to hold any territory, withdrew.

I didn't make that a link because it's pop-up hell.

The only thing sorta letting the air out of this joke XMAN is the french wound'nt mind the fact someone pissed on thier property. I was in Montpelier, France last year and witnessed several people pissing and deficating in the street.

SAN FRANCISCO MAN BECOMES FIRST AMERICAN TO GRASP SIGNIFICANCE OF IRONY

Jay Fullmer, 38, yesterday became the first American to get to grips
with the concept of irony.

"It was weird" Fullmer said. "I was in London and like, talking to this
guy and it was raining and he pulled a face and said, "Great weather eh?"
and I thought - "Wait a minute, no way is it great weather".

Fullmer then realised that the other man's 'mistake' was in fact
deliberate.

Fullmer, who is 39 next month and married with two children, aged 8 and 3,
plans to use irony himself in future.

"I'm, like, using it all the time" he said. "Last weekend I was grilling
steaks and I burned them and I said "Hey, great weather."

:D

this sounds like something from the onion, is it?

Hmm, could well be.

Received it at as e-mail, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone had ripped it. :disgust:

Later..

This is the Onion. From the News in Brief. I remember it well. I'm British. I laughed my c0ck off.
