There were 10 cases in Galveston of people breaking into houses. Reportedly, one of them got caught, and it turned out to be a refugee from NO. That made me laugh.

i'm not a communist - note the subtle spelling difference 🙂. most people i know don't have the common sense required to be safe with a firearm. not saying no one should have them but it doesn't need to be encouraged.

also: not sure where in communism it says that about people. in order for communism to work it would require a group entirely composed of "good" people. since this isn't the case communism is unlikely to work.

So would I. But as long as criminals/idiots can get guns, I want to be at least as well armed as they are.

i didn't say i don't think people should be able to get guns - i'd just prefer it if most didn't 🙂

Hitler felt the same way, neighbor. I agree that I'm happier knowing that some people can't legally get guns... but given a choice between 'bad guys and cops have guns, I have a target on my forehead' vs 'bad guys have to wonder if I'm carrying' I like it the way we are.
