Exactly WTF!!!! I don't know why anyone makes oatmeal raisin cookies. Whenever someone brings them somewhere they always sit uneaten, especially if there are other cookies available.

Now, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies on the other hand...
Fuck you man. Just fuck you. If there are oatmeal raisin cookies to be had, I'll eat em.

But as you said, if you add chocolate chips too... they'll be gone that much faster.

y'all be nuts

I dislike the idea of nuts in my cookies, period. Macadamias, okay. But the line is drawn there.
You put nuts in a cookie, brownie, or other soft tasty treat, I'll be pissed. I hate it when I'm enjoying something chewy and tasty and then :crunch:... aww WTH man, you ruined it!

Raisins - I despise these bastard fruit products, period. Throw them into my food, I'll throw you under the bus. :p

Some nuts on their own are tasty, but I do not want them in my sweet and soft foods.

Walnuts are my favorite. I will eat them on anything. Ice cream. Chicken. Peppers. Cookies. Whipped Cream. Wifey. They are NOM NOM goodness personified.

Speaking of that, I'm making a note right now that I need to pick up some walnuts at the store on the way home

My wife makes her oatmeal cookies with "craisins" instead of raisins.

Sometimes she'll put coconut in them too. (separately from the craisins)

Walnuts are hella good in chocolate chip cookies. So are macadamia nuts.

Hehe. They all love the nuts. I agree with the OP. Walnuts have no business being in chocolate chip cookies. Otherwise they'd be called walnut cookies. And they're not. They're called CHOCOLATE CHIP cookies.

Scottish shortbread cookies are the pinnacle of cookiedom. I have no problem with walnuts in chocolate chip cookies. Particularly if someone else baked them. So, stop whining and have a cookie.

I have some in the oven right now. :awe:

Most people make a boring version of them.
