Yup.

Hey I agree with you for once :awe:.

This is pretty typical and predictable of the OP though. Kinda doubt he actually has any friends. Probably a game clan or some shit in reality. He has some paranoia issues. Which is also typical of people who are lonely and use the internet alot (re: not much face to face contact).

This is my favorite reason to not share personal information. I get to see who others are by how they imagine me.

My career basically requires me to have an online presence, so there's not much of a point to trying to disguise my real name, where I work, etc. It's also not really that big a deal since I'm not important enough to dig up dirt on.

lol @ the used beater m3 being the sickest thing on earth. seriously think every third guy on earth has one in their early 20s and of course drives like a jackass and thinks he is just so badass. that or a lancer evolution

... the above posts were referencing one particular ATOTer

Hey guys, I just got my AIDS test results back; I have ring worm and I am preggers.

Don't use this against me in the future. It would totes bring me down.

I have people fooled. they think i'm a short balding ulgy guy. When in reality i'm 6'5 and a GQ Model. I'm also a black belt in karate and enjoy a good glass of wine.

I just do when I feel like it I guess.

Is my home a lot of nites hanging out and I know most of the time to not worry about some people I guess.

I don't see any great concern for privacy on the part of the upcoming generation. It could be a sort of defeatism, if those who have the power to act upon personal knowledge of any given person also have the power to obtain it whether one likes it or not, why bother fighting it. It's a kind of soft information totalitarianism.

If you reveal everything, then no one will ever want to hack you. Not other members, not the feds, not even Obama.
I mean, who would want to hack me?
Just your average one in a billion loser with a life as exciting as dripping tree syrup?
And the only porn on my pc are B&W photos from some fat chick over in Germany named Bertilda. 😉

Especially when everything you post sounds plausible, but is completely fictional.
You actually have a secret basement that nobody knows about...and that's the real you.

I am a very interesting person. I just highly doubt anybody will glean that from otherwise innocuous posts on an internet forum and try to seek me out.

Hah... in a way you are making fun of other people using exaggeration about the problems in people's lives. The thing is everyone has problems and no one has a perfect life. It would be very stereotypical of you to be the type so scared of having problems or not having a perfect life that you sit around and do nothing, scared to ever risk failure which is IMO far worse than being a screwup.

Reminds me of a good saying:

Better to ask stupid questions than to make stupid mistakes.
