No, we should hang him right here at home, along side his dad. Not Jeb, George. Jeb ain't a war criminal, yet. I see no reason to give him the opportunity.

We can't hang ex-Presidents. The best we can do is learn from their accomplishments- good, bad & indifferent.

So what did Jeb learn from his brother's adventure in Iraq?

According to him, not a damned thing.

That should be disturbing to anybody with even a few little grey cells to rub together.

But they'll hold their nose and vote for him, they'll have no other choice.

1. Investors business daily, lol.
2. Whoever made that cartoon really doesn't understand math or statistics.
3. Man, you really hate Hillary. You're going to melt down when she wins.

Do you honestly think all the people that voted for McCain wanted him as president?

I don't see it as a dem or repub issue. Its an issue with the whole system.

Given the options, yes.

You do realize that 'the system' likely makes it so that the average elected candidate is more conservative than they would be otherwise, right? I mean I'm all for changing the system, but you might not like the outcome.

Kind of like all the Democrats who say Hillary is an awful candidate but will line up to vote for her?

Our system is broke.

She is an awful candidate, she proved that last time she ran and lost. That being said, being an awful candidate doesn't mean she'd be a bad POTUS if she won although I have my doubts. Her viewpoints aren't my cup of tea but aren't out of the mainstream, however I'd be concerned that she would bring near Nixonian levels of paranoia and secrecy to the office, which combined with her tin ear would lead to a below average presidency.

Personally I would like to see someone like Sen Mark Warner run on the left as he'd be an improvement over anyone currently running on either side. Admittedly he wouldn't be the progressive champion some here seem to crave, but he could win and do a great job. Elizabeth Warren isn't ready for the prime-time and Bernie Sanders is a fringe candidate akin to Ron Paul who'll generate fanatical support among a few hundred people and that's it.

Please don't. If I'm wrong then please prove it to me. So far I'm combating misconceptions.

The numbers were round ones for sure lol.

Edit: Wireless customers who don't participate in the program pay an average of $2.50 a month on their phone bills to subsidize Lifeline and other communications programs.
$2.50 a month on our phone bills to subsidize Lifeline seems like a reasonable thing.

Governor Bush, how many Americans did Saddam Hussein kill?
How many Americans did President Bush kill by sending them into Iraq?

I take it by your response that you still somehow approve of the Iraq war? That you approve of thousands of Americans killed, tens of thousands wounded?

Bush killed more Americans than Osama Bin Laden. He wounded many times more.

Why so serious? Where's your sense of humor?

Regardless, I don't hate Hillary...but I would never vote for her either. I will never vote for someone I don't fundamentally trust regardless of the letter behind their name. But hey, I'm funny that way.

Both being Democrats.

Advisers to prop up a corrupt government.
Then troops needed to protect the advisers
Then more troops to make the place secure

It's odd that you would fundamentally trust any president.

While I don't care about voting, I would support someone or not based on whether I thought they would improve the sum-total of wellbeing in the US. But hey, I'm funny that way.

Obama's Afghanistan surge. The Libya nightmare Obama effectively caused.

Countries bombed: Obama 7, Bush 4.
Bush: Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and Somalia.
Obama: Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Libya and Syria.

Plenty of blood on everybody's hands imo.

I prefer to find out I can't trust them until AFTER I vote for them, not BEFORE. I guess I'm funny that way too!

And I agree as well...it's just that my idea of promoting well-being is likely a tad different than what you may believe. Funny how that works.

You have some bad info there. Strikes in Yemen and Somalia also happened under Bush.

Additionally, as we went over before, saying we caused what happened in Libya is a highly suspect statement.

Do you think that Jeb Bush will be better for the wellbeing of the US than Hillary? If so, why?

We should hold leaders responsible for their elective wars. For their decisions to park our soldiers on the ground to play police for nearly a decade. Bad decisions all around.

Do you at least recognize Iraq for the colossal mistake that it was, with dire consequences?

  • We spent over $1 trillion.
  • We lost 4,804 lives.
  • We have 32,223 wounded.
  • We trashed Iraq and caused them unending war and violence.
  • We birthed ISIS, which causes genocide to this day.
  • We royally pissed off Russia.
  • We blew our momentum on Iraq, to pave the way for a nuclear Iran.
Why? For what purpose, to what benefit?
I hope you know you cannot, and should not defend this. The Bush legacy is Iraq... and what we did is one of the greatest mistakes America has ever made.

While Bush may have started such; Obama has continued it.
Iraq did the internal war/violence to themselves based on religion. All we did was to remove the strongman that kept the pot from boiling over.

We piss off Russia all the time and they the same to us; big deal.
There is/was a common understanding that each stayed out of the other's sphere of influence. We pushed for our brand in their back yard; they responded.

What momentum on Iraq - you are just saying that is was a massive mistake
