Why have these never been allowed here? Is it out of fear that image and storage hosts would have a backlash against AT sucking their BW? Anyway, a lot of other forums have it, and I'd like to see it here.
 
I wouldnt want to see it.
When images were enabled for a short time last time virtually every post you went into was filled various miscellaneous images posted for no reason.

I figure if someone wants to show us an image they can link to it... that way we get the choice of whether we want to view it or not.
I pity those that were on dial up when images were enabled last time...
 
Whereas an ASCII Bart Simpson screams "business" 😉

But seriously, I'm extremely content with having images linked to. Then the poor guy running on a 28.8 isn't forced to either disable his images or wait the hour and a half for the uber-thread to download.
