Happened at work again today....
Old fellow wanders up asking about a scanner, i show him over to the scanners and explain a few things about them for a minute or two, he says ok, then proceeds to tell me that my name tag "Joshua" tells him that I'm jewish and therfore needing his assistance. Not only does he proceed to explain to me bible stories about Jesus and how my life should be all about religion, he then tells me a few stories. One about how he was a sinful jew in his former life and is now being punished for it, and the other was a story about a jewish surgeon that wandered into his store while he was working at 7-11. Apparently this jewish surgeon had the ability to make himself invisible simply by putting his hands into the air and concentrating. However, this jewish fellow couldnt stay invisible for too long and would flicker in and out after a few minutes due to his eating habits (mainly him not keeping kosher). Keep in mind, at this point, i was having SERIOUS trouble from cracking a grin and laughing in this guys face....
Anyway, 20 minutes of my life wasted, this guy finally gives up and leaves.... But what the hell do these people think they are going to accomplish? This isnt a one time thing though either, in the past 3 weeks i've been proselytized to about 3-4 times, two of them telling me im going to hell because im jewish.... And Its not like i freaking advertise my religion, it seems my name just gives me away most often.... I ended up just taking off my name tag towards the end of the day, just sick of it....
