I'm a fan of WinME too. You gotta remember, 'better the devil you know' some ppl think. I remember changing from Win 3.11 to Win95 and my first impressions of Win95 were awfull and went straight back to Win 3.11. This was mainly down to it being a new OS and in it's early stages. This is a key point. Ppl just don't like change and become very familiar with their current OS, which I have to say is normal. I'm very much the same.
However, now that I'm getting familiar with WinME and getting my system running as best it can I wouldn't go back to Win98SE.
Resource hog it may be in some instances, but as RAM is so cheap now it's not so much of an issue as it was. I don't think it slows my system down noticeably at all. Some would also say that Win98 has better support, drivers for example. It will only be a matter of time b4 WinME has the same support.
Each to their own is what I say.
[Edit]
I just had a thought. Those that bought the full version and laid out the cash on an Original Copy of the software are more inclined to sit it out and make it work. Those that use a Beta/Pirated copy will be keen to flame the OS and will soon go back to an already substatiated OS. (Only some ppl that is so don't flame me

)
