I bought a new Athlon XP-M (AXDA2500KV4E) and I am trying to push it over the 2.2GHz limit running on air. I'd like to boost it to 2.5GHz, more than that would be murdering (meaning I'd prolly kill the CPU...).
Is there something I don't know I should know about overclocking? But, first things first, here are my specs:
Abit NF7-S v2.0 BIOS 27
Athlon XP-M 2500+ (AXDA2500KV4E) @ 2.2GHz (11x200 for now) @ 1.6v
1G of EL OCZ PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Rev2 CAS2 @ 2-2-2-5 @ 2.6v
ATi Radeon 9700 Pro @ StockSpeed (AGP bus is at 66MHz)
When I increase the FSB, CPU&RAM voltage and the CAS latency, my system just don't like it. Anyone with similar specs? If so, what's the most you can get from your rig?
