"Cool Hand Luke" is a work of fiction. Actor Paul Newman spit the eggs into a bucket between takes.

Taste great if fried in butter, with salt and pepper, and maybe chili powder. Maybe I'll get some bacon next time I go to the store. Make me an egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich.

I sometimes make a fried pizza egg.

Sprinkled upon the egg :

Sprinkle garlic powder on it.
Sprinkle organo on it.
Pieces of salami.
Pieces of old cheese.
Pieces of Ham.
Thin slices of paris mushrooms.
Thins slices of tomato.
Thin slices of green bell pepper.
And that on a sandwhich.

Another fine taste is:

Fried egg with onion rings and thin slices of silver side (fricandeau).
Add a tiny bit of salt.
And then on a bun.

Here is my sliced red onion, silverside beef(fricandeau) and egg contraption. A pinch of salt and pepper and some lettuce on a bun.
It has been a while since i have made it so the onions are a bit more fried then they should.
This tastes so good.

First add the sliced onions to the frying pan, then the very thin slices of silverside. A pinch of salt and pepper. Add 3 eggs. Another pinch of salt and pepper.
Then just wait until the egg is solidified. And add a tiny bit of lettuce.
Enough for 4 buns. But usually 2 buns a person is enough. :yum:

Yep Jersey City. Where was the original location? Downtown?

Yep the downtown one. I used to live 3 blocks from there. I moved out of downtown though but it's not a bad drive to go there if needed from, where I am now. Everything bagel with veggie cream cheese or a Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich please. You still live around here?

No reason to overcomplicate fried eggs with a bunch of shit. They are good with nothing but salt and pepper. My favorite way though is with sauteed onions.

1. Saute some finely diced white onion in bacon fat (or butter if not available).

2. Once the onions start to brown, portion them into little piles in the skillet.

3. Slowly crack one egg onto each pile of onions. Dash each with salt/pepper.

4. Cook to desired doneness -- sunny side up, over easy, whatever.

Egg in toast, runny yolk a must.

And for the omelettes, ham and swiss. You can have a bit of brown as a result of allowing the cheese to melt properly. I make a mean omelette.

Eggs benny is also amazing, although I find the NJ diners around here have shit for hollandaise sauce.
