This is back asswards. Our government is designed so that we allow it to do certain things, not the other way around.Originally posted by: notfred

In terms of Iraq this means Congress should have decided to do War with Iraq, not the King.

(1) strictly enforce through the United Nations Security Council all relevant Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq and encourages him in those efforts; and
(2) obtain prompt and decisive action by the Security Council to ensure that Iraq abandons its strategy of delay, evasion and noncompliance and promptly and strictly complies with all relevant Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq.
Postcount++ for saying the same thing over and over. Life is good.Originally posted by: Zenmervolt
I almost forgot, posting in war threads is the best-disguised neffing there is.

It is pointless but venting is healthy. Some post here to stroke their egos, to attempt to force their views on others, for a rise, etc., etc. Others simply like to get a different perspective on subjective matters. And hey we're social people. We like to chatter.Yeah, but what he means is by griping on the internet about it. Everyone at the top listens to protests and things made more public - not threads saying "Please don't go to war!!" - that's not the way we represent ourselves to the government. So saying "they should listen to us" doesn't work.

Let's see if we can match war threads with Return of the King threads. Are you with me, Kami?
