I don't know if I would say that someone who voted for every single one of Bush's expansion of government budgets, every single Iraq war supplemental spending request, NCLB, every defense spending bill, and...

Tell you what, it would be a much shorter list if you could just provide a list of spending/appropriations bills that Boehner DIDN'T vote in favor of while Bush was in the White House.

I'm not defending him at all. I'm telling you what he's been saying in the past week. Explaining why the teaparty doesn't seem to be against him. I'm sure he's full of shit though.

Tell you what, go make your own list.

I started making my own list and realized that, because he was nothing but a party-line voting POS who is doing what every politician does....tells the people of the day what they want to hear while doing the exact opposite, I would need a RIKEN MDGRAPE-3 to complete it before the next election cycle.

Alright then, well I don't disagree with anything you have said.

I wouldn't necessarily call that ideological inconsistency. After all, at least one tea-party member was of the opinion that nobody should try to beat Boner. ;)

Let a colored man get a little power and the haters all come out to cut him down to size.

If Michele Bachmann doesn't get the Conference Chair she's so passioante about, then I can see a bunch of voodoo dolls with Boehner's likeness popping up in a bunch of Tea Partier's homes and offices.

The plot thickens. Let the cleansing begin....errrr, continue.

People with longer memories remember Boehner as the man Tom Delay replaced because Boehner was too corrupt. Caught in the act openly distributing Tobhacco money on the floor of the house.

And after Delay replaced Boehner, Delay made damn sure Boehner could not have any GOP leadership, but when Delay was finally forced out of Congress, Boehner came right back to his same old corruption business. But Boehner is less open about his own corruption now.

Who said old dogs can't learn new tricks?

Tea party is barely intelligent enough to be against eating their own feces. I wouldn't expect them to form any opinion beyond one they are spoon fed, much less a rational one.

And yet they just crushed you at the polls. That doesn't bode well for your culinary preferences, does it?

They also crushed me on polls of whether Iraq had WMDs or had something to do with 9/11. I really don't assess my judgment based on how many people with demonstrated poor intelligence think.

Because the GOP and Fox News launched a stealth astroturf campaign in order to co-opt the tea party movement from dumbass libertarians. This never had anything to do with 'small government'.

If the Democrats were so intelligent, you'd think they could have outsmarted those shit eating Tea Partiers. I guess you're not as smart as you think you are, eh turd gurgler?

Boehner is an ultra right winger, but he's not quite as irresponsible as his behavior has indicated over the last 2 years. With TARP, when the country was on the line, he manned up and did the right thing over the ideological thing.

Tea Party people don't hate Boehner because he says the right things, and because he is the leader of the Republican Party. Teabaggers are little more than the disaffected extreme base of the Republican party, so it's not exactly shocking that they support its leader.

It was the right thing to do if you're a Republican - but the wrong thing to do if you're a Democrat... :hmm:

This kind of ridiculous hyperbole does nothing to make this a better forum.

The people pulling tea partier strings in their own interest ARE pretty smart politically and have a lot of resources.

What's truly funny is that the Democrat leadership has been feeding you shit for years and telling you that's steak, and you don't even realize it.

Like that Health Care Reform bill that was neither about health care nor reform? That's a big ol' turd. And you've been smiling the whole time you were chewing on it.

Nobody is a bigger sucker than a Democrat voter.

I am satisfied with health care bill. It's not perfect, but it gets more people covered, so it's a move in the right direction.
Were you satisfied with what GOP got done 2000-2006?

Brand management at its finest. The Republican brand was worthless after Bush so Fox News handed the Bushies some new t-shirts and declared the existence of the "Tea Party". Why would anyone be surprised that Republicans are actually Republicans?
