why isn't the official language of the EU latin?

yah, but latin would have to catch up with modern terminology, i mean how do you say "car" in latin or "bling"

most of my latin learning was reading about Caesar and the Gauls

i'm sure an etymologist could figure something out

Getting the whole EU to declare an offical language sounds fun. I heard the biggest problems when they have meetings is translators. Like if a French speaker takes the floor, there's a need for a French to Spanish, French to English, French to Italian, and so on, with all the combos in between.

It was done with Hebrew. I'm sure it could be done with Latin.
