because religious nuts never learn:) prohibition? oh that was a raging success. driving anything underground makes it lucritive for all criminal elements. as seen in both drugs and prostitution. look at alcohol and cigerettes.. they are legal so gangs don't kill each other for turf to sell cigs:p no one sells cigs on a street corner by the gram;)

u make something illegal, you lose the ability to regulate it:p lose tax revenue.

<< i think they should allow prostitution in prison so there is less male on male rape.;). >>

Aren't our prisons already overcrowded enough?

<< There and in Catholic churches both ;). >>

So that's what the kneeling thingy in the pew was for.

bah, prisoners shouldn't be having sex at all. frankly they should be put on drugs. chemical castration i think? allowing prison rape is plain brutal, and doesn't rehab anyone. if you want their minds clear and working towards a productive life when they are released..

Ummmmm.......No! If you're in there for writting bad checks chemical castration is akin to cruel and inhuman treatment for someone who is a non-sex offender. I say save that for the few catholic priests that can't seem to keep their hands off little boys or girls or any other sexual predator that gets locked up.

true:p i was semi serious, but some probably need it:p you know the prison officials don't do everything they can to keep rapes from happening. its just a really bad idea to let this happen if we plan on releasing these people :p rapist and rape victim...its good for neither:p

who cares if it is legal the risk that you get caught is minimal.Your moral shóuld tell you why it is unlegal ,think twice about about it.

If you think about it, its all prostitution anyways. I have never been with a girl that I havent spent money on, and got any. Actually prostitution would be cheaper for us.

Make it legal. It's not as if the divorce rate can go any higher. Nuclear families are dissolving, deadbeat "dads" run amuck, and morality went down the crapper. It's party time Roman style.

<< Why Isn't Prostitution Legal? >>

I've wondered about that for a long time.

The only reason I can come up with is that the majority of people are too prudish to allow it.

Here in CA there's a certain city that can just take your vehicle if you're busted trying solicit a prostitute from your car. Ouch.

Personally I think it should be legal:
-given that men supposedly think about sex every 10 seconds but only get to act on it (a hand doesn?t count) on average once a month (survey BS), that would be a pretty penny in tax dollars if they felt it was acceptable to use 'hired help'
-dating has gotten to the point where it?s hard to tell the difference anyway.
-it would provide protection for the women involved.
-health issues could be more closely monitored.

but
-if it is legalized they should also stiffen the penalty for blackmail because there would be working girls who no longer had to worry about the legality of the ?service? provided but could still milk the morality aspect.
and
-If my hubby ever hired help, I wouldn't need the 'law' to deal with him for me...I am more than capable of handing out 'justice'.

<< Prostitution brings Drugs brings Crime. >>

...they bring crime because they are illegal, hence crimes on their own merits. Legalizing both would remove the "bringing crime" factor.

"Fvck!ing is legal, selling is legal. Why isn't selling fvck!ng legal? Why is it illegal to sell something that you can give away for free?" - George Carlin

EDIT: Damn, my whole post made pointless by other posts. Should have just RTFT

It's legal in Canada... sort of.

It's legal to pay someone for sex... but you can't solict it or something like that.

Anyways, if you're hard up... take a trip to Cuba or something, if you can't get laid in Cuba, you can't get laid anywhere.

Actually, think about it in economic terms. If it was legal, the risk goes down, the commodity becomes more available. As it becomes more available the price will come down. Then the people 'providing' this service will not make the money they want and the 'quality' will surely become more than suspect.
