I've been tempted so badly to buy an x-box. If EA sports supported MS..i'd probably switch, and sell my PS2. Although, PS2 is coming out with the hard drive soon..blah :(

Asharus said that in another thread... And I feel his pain. ;)

LOL I skipped last night cuz I was VERY tired. Actually I snuck a few games of Topspin in before I went to bed. I know if I started Project Gotham 2, I would've been up all night again...

No... If the game supports any kind of split screen online gaming, you would log in as a "guest". But some games (i.e. CounterStrike) don't even have a split screen option.

A small point worth noting is that on PS2 Online, game manufacturers can turn off online support for their games at any time. Microsoft has made it a cornerstone of their plan that all Live games will be supported through the lifetime of Live.

Basically, when Madden 2005 comes out, you may or may not be able to play Madden 2004 online anymore depending on how EA feels. But you could still play NFL Fever 2003 online.

I really wish I could get back into playing live. I was addicted to it when I was a beta tester for it. However, it just seems like I dont have a interest in playing games right now. :( :( :( Whats wrong with me!!??!!?

There are a LOT of retarded kids on live. Half the time I get on, I don't have my mic plugged in. I just like stomping brats into the ground without talking. The mute feature does only so much.

SunnyD: XBL provides matchmaking capabilities for all XBL games, you get friends lists and such, features like voice chatting while in the game, all the servers and scoring is taken care for you, new content is pushed via the service and updates to the games and xbox are pushed via the service as well. It provides a one stop shop for all xbox games so you dont have to have dozens of passwords, dozens of bills from different companies etc. it puts everything in one place and just works great.
