Because it does take a level of maturity to understand it. I've never professed to absolute sexual freedom or acceptance, but like Deeko says, it's absurd to allow the level of violence our media portrays, but nudity and sex is so restricted... when one is universally abhorred, but nudity and sex normal.

And you ignored my question, what do you do when you're sitting with the family and a sex scene unexpectedly comes up? Do you immediately turn it off and apologize to your kids or parents?

Kids are probably going to have sex, and unless you have a habit of watching your kids 24/7, there's little you can do to stop it if they decide to do it. However, if they hear of the consequences and risks from someone they trust (guardian, parent, older sibling) they are probably likely to either a.) abstain, or b.) practice it safely. Where would you rather a kid hear about sex from? You, as a parent, or from Billy on the playground?

Shielding children from the world only increases their curiosity about it, and curiosity gone too far often leads to disastrous consequences.

Yeah in a cheapened and degrading way. I'm against sex in advertising. I'm more talking about the taboo of nudity than the act itself. I should have been choosing my words more carefully because sex and nudity are not the same thing.

Alright, good deal I'm sick of arguing.

Hell, I have no problem with nudity or sex, I just like playing the Devil's advocate. :p
