Love the US version as long as they keep doing their own thing and not try to copy the Brit version. They will never be Clarkson, Hammond or May and they should not. The best US episodes I love are the trucks, pickups, whatever is American. Americans Toughtest Trucks, Continental Divide, Death Valley, Beating Tanner, Muscle Cars, Cult Classics, Mammoth Mountain, Viking Trucks, and the latest Rubicon Trail are excellent (to me). I've watched those many times. Stick to your own style try not to duplicate.

The first season was dreadful and the celebrity in the car thing just does not work at least for the US version -- leave that to the Brits. Yah Tanner's presentation style is wooden but they had to have one great driver. The others are the entertainers and I actually do enjoy their banter.

The Brit one was so good back when. Most of the Specials were simply amazing. They redefined what entertainment can be no matter what the topic of the show is about. After so many season what was there left to do or try? How could they top this or that without becoming simply stupid and a farce? I am actually glad it's over, and looking forward to what they do on Amazon knowing how their chemistry works and how creative they are. Who knows. Anyhow the US version is my distraction from everything else. Heck even my wife does not mind it and that's insanity right there.

They BLATANTLY copy UK TG though...from the setups on many shows to the 'bumping' they do their cars when on challenges. Some things are a little unique, but its an obvious copy in many cases.
