Why is this memory for AMD systems only

I was browsin the egg and saw this, why is it for AMD system only and would it work in my Athlon XP?

It uses BGA chips, and I don't see why they have a disclaimer that states 'AMD only memory'. I have a 1GB DDR333 SODIMM w/ BGA chips in my 700m.

BTW the last time I checked the Athlon XP was mfg'ed by AMD.

Yes I know but an Athlon XP is old I didn't know if I needed a new athlon or what.

AXP is AMD, correct?

In reality..I checked their website but didn't see anything pertaining to being for AMD based systems only. I would ASSUME that it will work with your system as the XP's were 266 or 333mhz FSB.

thats strange, never seen ram made specifically for one brand of cpus. I see no reason why it wouldn't work on intels. googled it and couldn't find anything other than wintec ram sucks

that's quite strange... It's DDR333 RAM anyways, so bleh on that.
