Why is this HD more than double the cost of a similiar one?

Hi everyone, Im looking to add another internal HD to my computer and I was planning on getting the same one I have now which is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...tem=22-136-533

But then I saw this model which is much cheaper:

What is the difference between the two and why is there such a huge price difference? They are both 7200rpm, same GB, cache is also the same and both are from the WD black series

Discontinued models typically increase in price as the remaining stock dwindles, because a few people really, absolutely, positively need the specific model. So screw those guys.

Prices on last-gen or previous-to-last-gen parts almost always go up before people stop carrying them. You see it with other things like CPUs or GPUs too.

Because it has "Dual processor speed".

Actually, the FZEX model is superior since it uses a single 1TB platter. The older model uses 2 platters (maybe that's what they mean by dual processor speed, although speed in this case would mean less speed).
