There is really only one movie that comes to mind that I liked him in (A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints) everything else I have found him very annoying in. I guess he was ok in Disturbia (The Rear Window remake), but that's about it.

People like to hate. Lots of people hated on Leonardo DiCaprio around '95-'98 (Basketball Diaries, Romeo + Juliet, Titanic, Man in the Iron Mask) because of roles he chose and/or the tween attraction...Look at him now.

The roles LaBeouf has had haven't exactly been powerful, but that could change....or he'll fall off the map like most child actors.

i never hated leonardo dicaprio. it was apparent early on that he had acting chops, and his status was cemented when he really started to branch out around 2000ish.

this shia guy, however, sucks. unless he gets some kind of massive private acting lessons, he's never going to have any range. and even the one character that he plays sucks.

at least he doesn't mistakenly think that he's hilarious, and that makes him better than michael cera, the bane of my existence.
