Why is this allowed?

Every plane has a secret no-baby seating area, just ask the stewardess to move you there. Don't take no for an answer, make a scene if you have to and don't be afraid to make some threats so the air marshal gets involved. They know where it is and they'll get you in even if the regular flight crew refuses.

That was a bit evil 😀

Ramen.

you paid for a ticket that would provide you with unlimited free drinks to help you cope with this. quadruple bonus points if you can puke on the baby before it pukes on you.

lol, I was THAT guy a few months back.
And my first class ticket was a free upgrade as well.
Free riding first class baby...

last time i flew back to the DR they moved a mother and her screaming baby up to premium...laughed my ass off about the nasty looks she was getting and put on my noise canceling headphones

Survived. It actually turned out to be a tag team of lap babies, with the husband in economy. Wasn't too bad, but glad I had closed ear headphones and wasn't trying to sleep.

Best part was the lady in the next row up turned back looking at me between the seats and gave me the evil eye. Guess she thought I was the hubby at first.

I still don't get why people bring babies anywhere. Let's be honest, if your kid is too fucking small for their own ticket, they won't enjoy whatever shitty vacation you're taking, and neither will you.

Is it legit to network in first class?

I want from making minimum wage to ATOT minim wage, and I still don't know the niceties that surround having the kind of income where I can apend $500 and it come out of my "blow money" budget" for the month.

Some people like to abuse the free/greatly reduced lap baby ticket cost so not all of them are actually too small for their own ticket. Sometimes you do actually need to take your kid somewhere so I get that but the parents who don't do shit about their screaming poop factory piss me off. Too many just tune it out and let everyone in the sardine can suffer

Don't people have any consideration for others who spent extra to fly comfortably? We didn't want to take a baby on a plane at all because they might cry endlessly. And people have the balls to do this to 1st class passengers?

We have flown with our kid twice as a lap baby, once to the Florida Keys, once to San Diego. We enjoyed both of them greatly and he had a great time as well. Luckily though on 3/4 of those flights there was an empty seat so we just put him on the seat. 2 of those he slept the majority of the flight in the baby carrier since he wasn't even a year old yet. The lap time sucked but it was my wife holding him and he wasn't THAT bad considering it was a 5 hour flight.

We're taking him to Aruba with us in 2 weeks and he's still able to be as a lap baby, but we got him his own seat because he's a lot bigger now than he was when we did the other flights and it will just all around be easier for us and him on the flight.

They should have designated seats in the back of the plane that have a little bit more space for parents with babies so they don't disturb the rest of the plane. Of course they should have to pay extra, but that's what they get for bringing screaming little terrors along.

Man, buncha whiners ITT. Try flying across the ocean knee-crossed with two other people in a windowless overheated c-130, see if you complain about an infant in earshot of you in first class.

I've always thought airlines should sell babyless tickets for a premium. I'd pay an extra $50 to be guaranteed there would be no one under 18 on my flight.

Meh, sometimes you just have to. My pops has Alzheimers pretty bad - he likely won't be intelligible at all after this year - so we want to bring the family together in our homeland of Cyprus one last time before that happens. That time will be this July. My sister will have to bring her, at that point, 5 1/2 year old and a 15 month baby. The baby she is one smiley sleeping creature. I think it will go fine. But they have to do it before pops regresses anymore. Sad.

Again, earplugs and you dont hear a thing! I had a baby in the row in front of me that was howling much to the misery of my fellow passengers. Put my ear plugs and I slept through it.
