Why is the CAS 3 higher than CAS 2.5? Ain't 2.5 better?

I know they can but why wouldn't it be the other way around? Or why not $44.99 for the CAS 2.5? Either way if I was in the market for some I guess that would be a good thing.

Because Newegg has thousands upon thousands of products, and you cannot always keep track of every price adjustment at all times. The CAS 3 stuff is probably an old lot that has been there probaby 6 months or something, and back then they were equal or cheaper than the CAS 2.5 stuff.
