man, gay pride parades are a waste.

I went to the big NYC pride parade a few years ago, and immediately understood why Republicans hate gay men. It was like a flaming cliche of queens on wheels.

because unlike blacks and other minoritys, the goverment still thinks its ok to discharge members of the military found to be gay. stripping them of their benifits regardless of their service and sacrifice. the vets that still get spat on.

Back to the subject at hand...

I have a friend who's gay he's planning on going to the parade this weekend in San Francisco. Why? Because it's fun. It's more than jsut a parade, it's almost like a festival.... and if you're gay, it's a festival filled with scantily clad people that have a high chance of wanting to sleep with you.

The gay pride parade in SF is a lot less about pride in your sexual orientation as it is a sort of gay mardi gras.
