Why is there a 2nd optical drive in "My Computer" when I only have one?

So I just reformatted my system and after having installed everything, I randomly find another optical drive labeled as "dvd drive" in "My Computer" when i only have one cdrw/dvd combo drive in my system. I cant seem to get rid of it. Also, i cant seem to get service pack 2 installed. it just errs out, which is odd, since my LEGIT copy has always been working fine. Can I get some input about the two? Thanks. 🙂
 
check the properties of the drive, and see who the manufacturer of the drive is. that should tell you whether the drive is a virtual drive or not.
