It might be one game on one day, but the party started last weekend.

There is so much other stuff going on that surrounds this game that attracts the non-fan.

QFT.

In baseball you have individual players, constantly jumping teams for more money, standing around for the majority of the time, taking it easy, just not that interesting to most people.

In football you have a whole team involved on every play, nobody stands around for long, there's a lot of physical contact, and players tend to be more loyal to their teams, and teams more loyal to their players.

I'm thinking it's the commercials, but also that the Super Bowl is one game to decide the winner. I also think it helps when players like Joey Porter do a lot of smacktalking heh.

So if we modify the World Series, the NBA Finals, the Stanley Cup Finals into one game instead of a series, you think it would attract the rest of the nation?

Somehow, I highly doubt it.

It is our colliseum, and they are our gladiators. One day centuries and centuries from now they will look back on us and our barbaric ways.

No?
Definitely moreso than any other sports finals.
Why do you think commercial slots are several million a piece?

Football sucks. Bunch of overweight athletes who can no longer run. That is why the game has to stop every few seconds so that they can catch their breath again.

Now Rugby is a MAN'S sport!

You know with every passing year the average 40 time at the combine increases? I'd like to see some rugby 40 times.

Hey, nothing against the sport of rugby, but the players in the NFL are some of the best athletes in the world, period. Running the 40 in 4.2 seconds and still benching 225 10+ times is damn impressive.

do you mean decrease?

I'm a basketball fan, but i just watch the superbowl due to the hype

40 what? I'd like to make the comparison.
