I just upgraded my sound from on-board sound to Turtle beach santa cruz sound card.. and I noticed that the volume doesn't go high enough.. I mean for powered-speaker or headphone.. the volume doesn't go very high.
I'm using windows XP and the latest driver from Turtle beach website..

Even at the highest level, it's like about.. 1/2 or 2/3 level of on-board sound..

I uninstalled on-board sound from device manager and disabled from BIOS menu..

Something's wrong.. help..

I tried the control pannel mixer thingy.. I tried all the sliders.. and I don't see anything hidden..
There is this Legacy Audio driver thingy on the device manager.. do you think I should remove it? It could be used by the TV-tuner.. I don't know.

If your modem has audio drivers, remove or disable those. I had the same problem as you. Hope this helps.

also go into audio properties and enable everthing and jack up all the volume controls to highest settings hope this helps and i heard another guy saying earlier that he had to use different drivers than turtle beaches so you may try a google search for different drivers if this don't help

sorry hope this helps🙂

thanks ya'all..
Well, believe it or not, the frame rate halved for some unknown reason.. (from 60 to 30..) and I suspect this card.. because. nothing else has been changed.. 🙁 and I don't have a modem..

I'll try to remove old drivers if any of them are still left. Or even do the clean install..
umm, what other drivers are available.. I'll do the search...
