Why is the GTX 580 superior to the Radeon 6970?

Because they were first after 3dfx that did GPU. then ATI followed later on trying to catch up with dirty drivers.

What's your argument then? He said the 6900s are hot and loud, you say the difference is all but negligible and cherry picked reviews to support that claim. Is the 570 the new baseline, that if cards crossed they are considered hot and loud? What's your point?
