Why is the far left side of my monitor brighter than the rest?

I just got my 2405fpw. Now, the far left side of the monitor is a tad brighter than the rest of the monitor. I tried to check if it was backlight bleeding by putting the screen black in total darkness; however, there is very little of it and if anything it is on the right side. I also noticed that the left side is brighter only when there are colors other than black. A black screen looks perfect, but for instance, a red screen will look a bit orangish on the left. I have no idea what is causing this, and am hoping you guys can help me.

Thanks

got any speakers near it? anything with a strong magnet? Though I highly doubt that will do anything, cause LCDs are different than CRTs but I have had to tell a many Dell users that their speakers aren't magnetically shielded and that distorts their CRTs but a nice degauss usually cleans that up.

You can make a degausser with a pair of magnets taped to the end of a screw driver on a drill. They did it on G4. You know they network formerly known as TechTV. Buy did g4 kill everything that was worth watching on that network.
