Why is the drinking age 21?

The age limit is a state thing. It actually used to be 18 in some states, but ppl from the other states would drive drunk on their trip home from out of state bars. So all states changed it.

Actually, all the states that were 18 changed it after the federal government threatened to withhold federal funding for roads if they didnt raise the drinking age.
