That actually pisses me off. Why the hell couldn't Fox cast an actual paralyzed person for the part. All this time I thought to myself "damn, that's one cool ass paralyzed kid. He moves better than me and he has no legs."

What a frikken farce. Paralyzed people everywhere should be appalled and Fox shamed for casting him. I am 100% sure there are actual paralyzed people who could have played that part perfectly. 🙁
 
You're right...and gay people should sue anytime a straight person portrays a gay...and vice versa. It pisses me off to see NPH portray a straight man on any show...or any lesbian woman portray a straight woman...oh the horror of it all.

What's next? A white guy playing the part of a minority?

probably because real cripples don't sing and dance?

just a thought. yes, I believe the kid on glee did dance in some dream or something, so, that was kind of important.
 
If your're really good actor it shouldnt matter.
David Hyde Pierce plays straight men really well (both refined straight men and frufru straight men).
Kevin Spacey played a cripple REALLY well.
PLENTY of gays play straight people all over the place.
Many Jews have been Nazis, especially on Hogans Heroes.

It doesn't really bother me. Besides, you know they'd be all over it if they found a paralyzed actor that could sing well and pull off playing a teen.
 
Because if they used a person that was truly handicapped it would leave out the possibility of him having surgery (or some such event) and being able to walk again.
 
I'm outraged whenever I see a Puerto Rican being passed off as a Mexican. Holy shit I rage, rage soo bad! I even kick a baby.
