I didn't read the whole thread, but you try laying on the pavement on your back, with dirt falling in your eyes, while turning a wrench 1/16th of a turn at a time, and each time hitting your knuckles on a transmission casing and cutting them, and then tell me if you feel like swearing.

I'm not allowed to play video games while my wife is in the house. I have ZERO temper any other time other than when playing video games. I tend to get pissed and say wirty dords. ESPECIALLY any type of sports game. Vheatin sonsof$%&@#*'s!!

I swear when wrenching on my truck because there are many situations where no other word will suffice. I mean, if your wrench slips and you crush your fingers, what else are ya gonna say? "Oh darn, I smashed my poor finger?"

Swear words are here for a reason... they get across a point other words can't! I say, use them. They're only bad words anyway because a bunch of whiny-butts banded together and decided such words should offend them. When this is collocated with car repair, such language is a requirement if you hope to do the job properly. It's like a ritual I guess... not cussing when you fix your car means it won't work when you're done.

My problem is that with excessive use, the "power swears" lose their effectiveness. We need to invent new curse words that can properly convey my rage. I create some on the fly occasionally, but honestly they're just hasty combinations of existing words.
