I propose we institute the death penalty on anyone who commits suicide. This will be after the a speedy court hearing, of course.

The reason suicide is illegal is the same reason why the right is trying to make abortion illegal - cause that's a major tenet of their religion, and they feel compelled to force it on everyone else.

Perhaps we should have suicide clinics, eh?

I'm sure that's on the ACLU's agenda. Maybe we should pass around cyanide pills along with condoms in schools.

Well I think you should investigate this possibility. It'll also give you a better outlook on whether the afterlife, if any, adheres to the strict christian standards you've been brought up on. After all, who wants to be in heaven if you have to bunk next to a liberal...

It is my personal assessment that you are an ass. You never miss an opportunity to incite or inflame. Though I am unsure whether it is an inate ability to consistantly move so far off the center of a topic or whether is a skill that requires extraordinary effort and sacrifice; but I see that I can always count on you to veer off on a tangent guided by convoluted misinformation and a faulty imagination.

Perhaps we should. Who am I to say?

Well one thing is clear - his parents must clearly regret not using a condom.

So? What are you going to do, euthanize him?

It's illegal because once you off yourself that is less tax revenue for the city/state/federal gov't. 🙂 You can't pay taxes when you're dead.

Despite the temptation, it would set a bad precedent.

Suicide is illegal because murder is illegal. Abortion is legal because a fetus is not a person.

Murder is the killing of another person... suicide is a separate issue.

I think suicide is illegal because of a long moral social tradition derived from Christian-based society.

Yes, but it murder is illegal because it involves killing a human being. Which is what suicide does.

I already said the real reason. . .the gov't can't collect taxes from you when you're dead.

After all it is my body and I can do whatever I want with it right? Same as abortion, no?

Because you are then a lost potential vote.

Also because lost on census count. Each live body = $$$ on paper.

Do explain. Please.

I always wonder why Christians wear seatbelts or look before crossing. Despite their shoe in for Heaven, they make all attempts at living on Earth. Why see a doctor? Why rely on evil science? It's too bad some guy added the clause that suicide being a sin. In fact, they could have just made the baptism the gateway to God, just hold them down a few more moments... 😉

Didn't you hear? Poor people don't pay taxes and therefore don't contribute to society.

Why not consider it giving teens the option of state-sponsored-free-of-charge-no-questions-asked self-abortion?

Surely teens that are responsible enough to hop onto the abortion table on their own and get their fetus scraped in 15 minutes can make such decisions, and they won't be making a mess by slitting their wrists and getting blood all over the place.

Could we count on you to test the methods to ensure them for 100% operability? Please!!!!!
