Why is suicide illegal?

It's illegal so that the court can order you to get help. I think you will get charged with public mischeif. They cannot force you to do anything(therapy, etc.) unless what you did was illegal, so they made attempted suicide illegal.
 
Same reason smoking drugs are illegal. Because they want to get rid of the weirdos and put 'em in jail/therapy.
 
They can't do much if you succeed at suicide, but I think you can get charged/fined for attempting suicide, even if there was no police/rescue intervention to rescue your failure ass.
 
Suicide is illegal b/c suicide is bad. By definition suicidal people qualify for involuntary commitment b/c only a mentally/emotionally compromised person would try to kill themselves. The above are not my personal opinions . . . just illustrating the law.
 
Because even if you don't find your life worth living anymore, your family and friends do.

It should be illegal to force that kind of grief onto so many people.

You're assuming the person has family and friends.

So, shouldn't it also be illegal to force someone to stay alive even though they are in constant pain or grievance?
Should it not be illegal to force someone into a hospital and then drug them up in order to make them forget their pain?

Well yes, I am assuming the person has friend and family. Most people who commit suicide do.

I also fully support euthanasia as has been described. If you are in deep pain, and your family supports it, you should be allowed to kill yourself.
 
It is like only if you try to and you don't die...why i have no clue...maybe because they need some pocket money 😛

Can mental anguish be classified as pain?
 
If you want to commit suicide, then obviously you're not all there mentally. You're a danger not only to yourself (obviously) but to others around you.
