Why is R&B about screwing like monkeys, while alternative seems to be more about having a good time?

Now wait one gosh darn second here. I grew up w/the bands of the 80's, sprouted hair w/the bands of the 90's, and I still don't watch MTV for the music video's. I would rather watch VH1 anyday. All that matters is whether or not the music appeals to you. BTW, I've been through all the stages (punk/ska, grunge, tech, rock, country, gospel, classical, R&B, rap(ghangsta too), death metal, you name it). I don't listen to the radio much anymore cept at work (they wont let me have control of the radio!) cuz there isn't enough of a variety. I guess what I'm sayin is different strokes for different folks :) Peace

I like all sorts of music, but I think the most depressing lyrics are by the Smtihs/Morrissey. Have you ever heard the song Girlfriend in a Coma? It sounds like an up-beat party song! Dunno if that's in context with this thread, but that's what was going through my head while I was reading it.

NFS4, I know I don't mention it, but you seem to have all the same opinions as me! Weird...
