Why is my video card fan so loud?

I have a Gigabyte GV-GF3000 GeForce3 video card. The fan seems to be very loud, but I don't know why. I have even RMAed the card once, but that didn't help. I checked to make sure that nothing was hitting the fan, but nothing was. Is there anything I can do about this? Thanks.

[*]sell the card
[*]replace the HSF with another style/type

Yes, that should work just fine and looks similar to what you currnetly have. Pop the two pins holding your current cooler off from he backside and pull off the HSF.
