Why is my PSP picking up my wired LAN.

I dont have wireless at all. My Sony PSP has ISM band connectivity via 802.11B and G. For some reason when I scan for a WLAN in infrastructure mode on the PSP. It picks up my DSL router. The router I have is a speedstream.

you're sure it's YOUR router? could it be a neighbor's?

On the PSP, is labels the SSID as Speedstream.

Speedstreams arent wireless.

Yes they are. My upstairs neighbor left her's as Speedstream too.

Many of the Speedstream DSL modems are also wireless routers. If you have not specifically configured yours to disable (or change) the wireless broadcast, anyone in range of your modem - including your PSP - will be able to see and connect to your network.
