i have an ASUS p4p800 and and a pentium 2.4 overclocked to 3.1 and a thermaltake heatpipe cooler and my idle temp is 41 and load is around 58.

why are my6 temps so high? are they normal???

They seem a little warm, but within tolerances. Whats the room temp and what other cooling measures do you have in your case?

Its a Northwood. AFAIK Prescotts don't come in 2.4ghz, they start at 2.8ghz. Theres something definately wrong with those temperatures, they match the temps of my CPU at 4.0ghz!.

No, you can get Prescott 2.4 GHz chips as well (100 MHz FSB, no HT).

133 FSB Jifffylube, not 100 on the 2.4A and 2.8A Prescotts.

You can also get crippled LGA775 Prescotts with a 133FSB and no HT in 2.66 and 2.93 speeds. Believe it or not. 😀
