i have an ASUS p4p800 and and a pentium 2.4 overclocked to 3.1 and a thermaltake heatpipe cooler and my idle temp is 41 and load is around 58.

why are my6 temps so high? are they normal???

Well you are overclocking the processor by 700Mhz. 41 C is pretty decent for a chip that overclocked. As for 58C it just comes with the territory.

Try running it at stock and see if your temps remain the same.

That's not too bad if it's a prescott, they do run a little hotter than the northwoods, but not to the extent that some people think. The problem is probably the Thermaltake heat sink. Thermaltake is not exactly a top performer, they are more into the "tacky" side of things than performance. The Thermaltake motto is: "If it won't go fast.... chrome it and put some led's on it" 😉
