Why is my credit card on a mailing list with my parent's names?!

Jeeze, 9 months ago my mom got sent something that was a "Free trial and cancel if you don't like it" She didn't know what it was, my credit card got canceled. Last month my dad got called for a similar offer, he declined, my card got charged $96! How did they get my CC# and is this even in the least bit legal?!
