Why is my Compaq R3000z booting slow?

For some reason it likes to stay at the Welcome screen for a good 20-25 seconds, then boots up. XP Pro SP2, but it really likes the Welcome screen. Don't know why.

It didn't do it before I installed NIS 2005, like it would boot normally at the same speed as my 3.0HT P4, but could Int. Sec. be slowing it down that much?
